Job Description

L'Hôtel Courtyard by Marriott Paris Gare de Lyon is located in the heart of the historic district of Gare de Lyon, in workshops and charming streets. This expanding district reflects the character of today's Paris and offers an urban environment and an electrifying atmosphere.

This high-end hotel features:

  • 249 spacious rooms spread over 19 floors with stunning panoramic views of the capital's monuments
  • 9 meeting rooms equipped with high-speed internet access
  • A fitness center
  • A restaurant and bar "Kitchen & Bar" offering authentic seasonal dishes full of flavors.

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the restaurant industry

Skills:

• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, be attentive to the customer

• Ability to work in a team

• Be proactive, organized, and rigorous

• Proficiency in English

  • The chef de rang welcomes the customer, greets them (upon arrival and departure).
  • They clean and set up the point of sale according to the hotel's procedures.
  • They arrange the tables.
  • They maintain the relationship with the kitchen and other hotel services.
  • They ensure the clearing and cleaning of tables during service.
  • They ensure the replenishment of the point of sale to make its conditions of use optimal.
  • They continuously develop a commercial attitude towards customers.
  • They take orders and serve drinks.
  • They serve the customer with courtesy.
  • They provide high-quality service, attentive to the customer's smallest requests.
  • They may be required to open and close the restaurant.
  • They perform and/or may be required to assign tasks such as setting up, serving dishes and drinks, clearing up, cleaning and putting in order the sales areas, sorting laundry, polishing, etc.
  • They know the composition of the menus and products listed.
  • They may be required to take care of banquet activities:
  • Welcome guests
  • Setting up breaks
  • Following up on guests
  • Connecting guests' equipment
  • Serving and entertaining banquet dining areas
  • Being in permanent contact with the event team
  • Participate in the "BEO" meeting (Banquet event order)
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the offices and banquet areas
  • Keep their superiors informed about the needs of orders for the department
  • Participate in the setup of banquets according to the indications on the function sheets.
  • They participate and/or animate the 15 minutes training.
  • They are in permanent contact with all sectors of the hotel.
  • They respect the safety and hygiene procedures applied in the hotel.
  • They respect and make respect the Marriott procedures.
  • They promote any energy saving and preserve the equipment
  • They follow all procedures and policies of the company (SOP and LSOP), ensure that their appearance is impeccable
