Job Description

The Hotel Restaurant Supervisor supports the First Restaurant Supervisor and Bar in their operational and administrative tasks.

The Courtyard by Marriott Paris Gare de Lyon Hotel is located in the historic district of Gare de Lyon, full of charming workshops and streets. This expanding area reflects the character of today's Paris and offers an urban environment and an electrifying atmosphere.

This upscale hotel features:

  • 249 spacious rooms spread over 19 floors with panoramic views of the French capital's landmarks
  • 9 meeting rooms equipped with high-speed Internet access
  • A fitness center
  • A restaurant and bar "Kitchen & Bar" offering authentic seasonal flavors.

Profile Sought:

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the restaurant industry

Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal skills, attentive to the customer

Main Missions:

  • The Restaurant Supervisor efficiently distributes and directs, according to the directives received, the work tasks of the sales points for the greatest satisfaction of the clientele.
  • He/She ensures and oversees the proper care of the client.
  • He/She offers attentive and adapted service to the client's constraints.
  • He/She adapts his/her organization and staff according to activity.
  • He/She participates in the setup, service of dishes and drinks, clearing, cleaning, and putting in order of the sales areas, sorting of linen, polishing, etc.
  • He/She participates in the inventories of dishes, porcelain, cutlery, furniture, and audiovisual equipment and transmits to the first restaurant supervisor his/her needs for stock renewal.
  • He/She may be required to analyze results and implement corrective actions.
  • He/She develops the motivation and adhesion of his/her team.
  • He/She integrates, trains, and promotes the development of skills of his/her collaborators.
  • He/She ensures the good presentation of his/her teams.
  • He/She organizes and controls the work of his/her team.
  • He/She may be in charge of banquet activity:
  • He/She ensures the relationship with the kitchen and other hotel services.
  • He/She ensures the cleanliness of his/her workplace and food safety (HACCP).
  • He/She animates the 15 minutes training.
  • He/She is in permanent contact with all hotel sectors.
  • He/She respects the safety and hygiene procedures applied in the hotel.
  • He/She respects and makes respect the Marriott procedures.
  • He/She promotes any energy saving and preserves the equipment
  • He/She follows all procedures and policies of the company (SOP and LSOP), ensures that his/her appearance is impeccable
  • Welcome of clients
  • Setup of breaks
  • Follow-up of clients
  • Connecting clients' equipment
  • Serving and animating the restaurant spaces of the banquets
  • Being in permanent contact with the event team
  • Participate in the "BEO" meeting (Banquet event order)
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the offices and banquet spaces
  • Keep his/her superiors informed about the needs of the orders for the department
  • Participate in the setup of banquets according to the indications on the function sheets.
