Join The Hôtel Montalembert
The Hôtel Montalembert, an intimate boutique-hotel in the heart of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district, is looking for a Front Office Chief of Staff. Ideally located on the Left Bank, just 5 minutes from Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the Hôtel Montalembert is the first 5-star boutique hotel in the area, offering 50 rooms including 10 suites. Its golden stone facade overlooks the rue du Bac, in the middle of an art, fashion, and antique district.
Discrete luxury and an intimate atmosphere characterize this emblematic establishment, a meeting place for professionals in the arts and entertainment.
The main responsibilities are to:
- Assist the Reception Manager in managing and optimizing the reception service
- Ensure order, cleanliness, and safety in the lobby
- Inform, welcome guests, and handle check-ins/check-outs
- Follow up on guest requests
- Meet guest expectations and propose solutions
- Resolve any guest dissatisfaction in accordance with procedures
- Participate in achieving the budgeted occupancy rates, average prices, and revenues, while minimizing costs
- Participate in and motivate the team to achieve the upsell budget
- Assume the responsibilities of the night manager
- Prepare arrivals (room assignments, VIPs, etc.) VIPs must be accompanied to their room
- Ensure the good conduct of the entire team (attire - language - punctuality)
- Act as a liaison with suppliers in case of urgent intervention (e.g., elevator breakdown) with information to the superior hierarchical position
- Optimize the match between the profile of visitors and the type of room planned for them
- Coordinate room management with the housekeeping service
- Verify and/or prepare arrivals and verify departures
- Verify the assignment of VIP rooms
- Ensure adherence to guidelines
- Sell hotel services (restaurant, SPA, etc.)
- Propose and optimize commercial services, particularly by participating in upselling
- Accompany guests to their rooms and explain the functioning of the hotel's equipment and services
- Manage calls, announce calls, and follow up on messages
- Perform pre-authorizations before guests' arrival to guarantee the room
- Keep the various concerned services informed of unplanned movements: departures, extensions of stay, evictions, etc.
- Fill out or complete the cardex rigorously and without omission
- Supervise rebookings in case of overbooking
- Organize and plan the work of their team
- Contribute to the training of the reception staff
- Forward information to the superior hierarchical position or to the concerned services
- Provide cover for night managers
- Respect and enforce procedures
- Centralize data related to registrations and payments
- Supervise billing and cash handling
- Follow up on debtors and hotel commissions
