Pay Rate: $30–$45/hour

Position Summary

Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator with strong expertise in ADP Workforce Now to support payroll operations during a critical transition period.

This role serves as the internal Payroll System Administrator, ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and operational continuity. While ADP processes payroll, this individual will administer and validate all payroll data, employee changes, and system inputs to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing.

The Payroll Administrator will act as a key liaison between operations, ADP payroll processing, and future Oracle EBS integration efforts.

This position requires strong multi-state payroll knowledge, independent decision-making, and advanced troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities Payroll Administration (ADP Workforce Now)
  • Administer and manage payroll within ADP Workforce Now
  • Ensure payroll accuracy for:
  • Hours worked
  • Deductions
  • Federal, state, and local taxes
  • Benefit with holdings
  • Run, audit, and analyze payroll reports to ensure data integrity
  • Validate payroll data prior to processing
  • Proactively identify and resolve discrepancies before payroll submission
Employee Status & System Management
  • Process and manage employee lifecycle changes:
  • New hires
  • Terminations
  • Leave adjustments
  • Ensure timely updates in ADP to stop pay upon employee termination
  • Manage high-volume payroll and employee inquiries (terminations, pay questions, employment updates, HR-related changes)
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation
Compliance & Transition Support
  • Ensure compliance with multi-state payroll tax laws and final pay regulations
  • Manage payroll accuracy and compliance during system transition
  • Act as liaison between:
  • Operational teams
  • ADP payroll processing
  • Future Oracle EBS integration team
  • Support payroll data validation for system integrations
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information
Required Qualifications
  • Hands‑on experience with ADP Workforce Now (Required)
  • Strong experience with multi-state payroll processing
  • In‑depth knowledge of:
  • State and local tax laws
  • Final pay requirements
  • Payroll compliance regulations
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (reporting, reconciliation, auditing)
  • Experience processing payroll for 500+ employees
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting payroll transitions or system implementations
  • Exposure to Oracle EBS payroll environments
  • Experience in healthcare or multi‑location organizations
  • Experience supporting payroll integrations
