We’re looking for a highly motivated, hands‑on HR Manager who thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. This is not a traditional HR role—you’ll be building the function from the ground up while also supporting broader business operations. You’ll partner closely with leadership to develop scalable people processes, foster a strong company culture, and ensure operational excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- HR Strategy & Infrastructure
- Design and implement HR systems, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Develop and maintain the employee handbook, ensuring compliance and alignment with company values
- Establish onboarding and offboarding processes that create a seamless employee experience
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Lead recruiting efforts across departments, from sourcing to onboarding
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and build a strong internal community
- Partner with leadership to support performance management, coaching, and development
- Champion company culture and help define core values and behaviors
- Act as a strategic partner to executive leadership on organizational design and people strategy
- Provide guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, and team development
- Support leadership in building high‑performing, aligned teams
- Assist with operational functions such as basic accounting coordination, budgeting support, and vendor management
- Plan and execute company events, fitness activations, and community initiatives
- Oversee office operations, ensuring an organized and productive work environment
- Support ad hoc projects across departments as needed
- 5+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, or similar roles (startup or high‑growth environment preferred)
- Proven experience building HR processes and systems from scratch
- Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats and stepping outside traditional HR responsibilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion for fitness, wellness, or bodybuilding culture is a strong plus
