Title: Unified Communications Engineer

Location: Remote

Rate: $120,000-$140,000

Duration: Direct Hire

Role Overview

We are seeking a Unified Communications Engineer to support and modernize an enterprise communications environment. This role will focus on stabilizing current UC platforms while supporting a planned transition toward a consolidated, cloud-first Unified Communications strategy
.

The ideal candidate is hands‑on
, practical, and experienced with Zoom Phone and Zoom Contact Center
, with exposure to legacy telephony platforms. This is a Monday‑Friday role with a strong emphasis on work‑life balance and minimal after‑hours or on‑call responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support, administer, and maintain enterprise UC platforms, including Zoom Phone and Zoom Contact Center (CCaaS)
  • Assist with the transition from legacy telephony platforms to Zoom, ensuring platform stability during migration
  • Configure and manage call flows, routing, IVRs, user provisioning, and integrations
  • Partner with Network, Service Desk, and Application teams to resolve UC issues and deliver enhancements
  • Support internal contact center use cases (e.g., HR, Recruiting, Help Desk, internal hotlines)
  • Participate in UC platform consolidation, optimization, and modernization initiatives
  • Provide Tier 2‑3 Unified Communications support and serve as an escalation point
  • Maintain accurate documentation, configurations, and operational best practices
Required Qualifications
  • Hands‑on experience supporting Zoom Phone in an enterprise environment
  • Experience administering Zoom Contact Center / Zoom CCaaS
  • Strong understanding of telephony fundamentals
    , including SIP, call routing, IVRs, and QoS
  • Experience supporting cloud‑based UC platforms
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications
  • Prior experience with legacy telephony platforms (e.g., Avaya)
  • Exposure to additional UC/contact center platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, NICE, Amazon Connect)
  • Zoom‑related certifications (Zoom Phone, Zoom Contact Center)
  • Experience supporting platform migrations or UC consolidations
