Mainframe Technical Project Manager

Overview

Infosys is seeking a Mainframe Technical Project Manager. This position’s primary responsibility will be to help enterprises achieve greater business connect, faster user acceptance, and shorter turnaround times and act as a key contributor in the team at different phases of the project including discovery, solution generation, design/architecture and the detailing of the overall process. The chosen candidate will be involved in the recommendation, configuration, evaluation and deployment of high-quality solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Addison, TX or Plano, TX or Charlotte, NC or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

• At least 7 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience in Mainframe technologies — COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, REXX, Z/OS connect.
• PMP or equivalent certification.

• At least 7 years of experience in software design and development using CICS, COBOL, DB2, JCL, IMS, EASYTRIEVE, SORT and other Mainframe technologies.
• At least 7 years of experience in Information Technology space.
• At least 4 years of experience leading/managing teams of developers.
• Ability to manage projects end-to-end, including task allocation and tracking.
• At least 7 years of experience in DB2 and VSAM.
• Experience in Banking domain.
• Enabling and challenging team members regarding self-organization and commitments.
• Resolving impediments and engaging others if external blockers.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Work with stakeholders on Release Planning, Product Roadmap and prioritization.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model where some teams are in waterfall and some in agile.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
