Role SummaryThe Digital Content & Insights Lead acts as the connective tissue between creative storytelling, digital execution, and performance measurement. The role bridges content, analytics, and technology to ensure all digital channels work together to deliver measurable, compliant, and high‑performing marketing outcomes. This individual will lead the planning, development, and governance of digital content, drive an organic‑first approach and collaborate with creative, data, and technical partners.
Reporting to the Director – Digital Marketing, the lead oversees the editorial calendar, content workflows, social media operations, and compliance governance, ensuring brand consistency across web, email, and social channels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Lead digital content strategy and planning; manage NLG’s digital content editorial calendar.
- Manage and mentor the content producer: Oversee the Digital Media Producer, guide workload prioritization, creative execution, and professional development.
- Lead content creation and storytelling: Direct and contribute to compelling, insight‑driven content such as thought‑leadership articles, blog posts, case studies, social media content, and interviews.
- Oversee content production and publishing: Manage creation, editing, and distribution of content across owned digital channels; maintain workflows in CMS systems (Sitecore, Word Press, Adobe Experience Manager).
- Own social media operations and governance: Manage social media programs, publishing, engagement, and paid amplification using tools such as Sprout and Hearsay.
- Integrate data and insights into storytelling: Partner with Web & Digital Experience Strategist to use analytics, SEO insights, and performance data to inform content decisions.
- Drive SEO and discoverability: Collaborate to ensure content is optimized for search visibility and aligned with keyword strategies, metadata standards, and site architecture.
- Ensure governance, quality, and compliance: Uphold brand, voice, and editorial standards while ensuring accessibility, privacy, and regulatory requirements are met.
- Advance content performance measurement and reporting: Develop KPIs and dashboards to evaluate digital content effectiveness; communicate insights to senior stakeholders.
- 7+ years of experience in digital content strategy, marketing, or communications, with proven success in multi‑channel programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a small team, balancing strategic guidance with hands‑on execution.
- Strong understanding of SEO, analytics, and content performance; hands‑on experience with GA4, GTM, SEMrush, or equivalent tools.
- Experience managing and publishing content within CMS platforms such as Sitecore, Word Press, or AEM.
- Proven ability to manage social media platforms and tools such as Sprout or Hearsay, including organic and paid strategy.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compliant digital copy.
- Proven ability to collaborate across marketing, IT, compliance, and creative functions to deliver cohesive, high‑quality content.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, capable of managing multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
- 10+ years of experience in content strategy, digital marketing, or editorial leadership, preferably within regulated industries.
