Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience with data center, network, or machine learning infrastructure planning and deployment.
  • Ability to identify, break down, and solve ambiguous processes and technical problems that span across many teams and organizations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to represent projects from business, product, and technical perspectives to the highest levels of the company.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.

You’re equally comfortable explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

ML Fleet Demand Planning is the authoritative source for Machine Learning (ML) infrastructure demand forecasting and allocation, enabling proactive, data-driven decisions that maximize the return on investment of Alphabet's AI Accelerators and supporting auxiliary resources. We aspire to establish industry-leading planning methodologies that are adaptable, transparent, and seamlessly integrated across the ML Fleet ecosystem.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
  • Demand planning and forecasting the rapidly evolving demand for Google's ML infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated demand models, analyzing trends, and collaborating with a wide array of stakeholders across Product Areas (PAs), research, and engineering to gather inputs and validate assumptions.
  • Influence multi-billion dollar investment decisions and ensure that our capacity planning and supply chain are aligned with Google's AI objectives.
  • Organize and lead new work streams, processes, and automation required to scale operations at a global scale. Work cross-functionally to communicate demand details and insights, drive demand process improvements, and create first-class documentation.
