IT Project Manager
Are you a healthcare IT leader passionate about driving clinical technology innovation and operational excellence? We are seeking a Clinical Applications Manager to lead the strategy, support, and continuous improvement of Electronic Health Record (EHR), Practice Management, and clinical applications. This role will oversee application engineering and support teams, lead enterprise-scale initiatives, and partner with business leaders to deliver reliable, high-performing clinical systems.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and manage clinical application teams, including application administrators and software engineers supporting EHR and Practice Management platforms.
- Oversee incident management, escalated issue resolution, root cause analysis (RCA), and system performance optimization.
- Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of clinical applications while minimizing downtime.
- Partner with business leaders and IT stakeholders to design, implement, and enhance clinical technology solutions.
- Lead large-scale implementation and enhancement projects, ensuring delivery on time and within scope.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve application functionality and support the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Establish and maintain technical documentation, KPIs, troubleshooting standards, and best practices.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, Agile delivery, and operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PHI, and healthcare data privacy standards.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience designing, configuring, and implementing healthcare software solutions.
- 8+ years of experience leading large-scale implementation projects, preferably in healthcare environments.
- 8+ years of vendor management experience.
- Strong experience managing clinical applications, EHR, or Practice Management systems.
- Proven expertise in incident management, SDLC, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and Agile methodologies.
- Strong leadership, project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with EHR and/or Practice Management implementation, design, and development.
- Experience with Touch Works or similar clinical application platforms.
- Experience working directly with healthcare business leaders to define product requirements and technical solutions.
- Strong presentation and meeting facilitation skills.
