Business Intelligence Developer - Micro Strategy
Location(s):
Addison TX or Charlotte NC
Term: 18 Month W2 Contract
Compensation:
Negotiable (CANNOT work Corp to Corp)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Micro Strategy Developer with at least 8 years of BI report development experience and a strong command of SQL to join our data and analytics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using the Micro Strategy platform, enabling stakeholders to make data-driven decisions efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Micro Strategy dashboards, reports, documents, and visualizations based on business requirements.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications and ensure alignment with data architecture.
- Write complex and optimized SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Develop schema objects, attributes, facts, hierarchies, and metrics in Micro Strategy.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to gather and refine reporting requirements.
- Optimize report performance and troubleshoot issues related to data accuracy, performance, and usability.
- Maintain and support existing Micro Strategy projects, ensuring reliability and continuous improvement.
- Perform unit testing and validation of reports and dashboards.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Business Intelligence (BI) report development, including at least 5 years using Micro Strategy.
- Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries for data manipulation and extraction.
- Hands-on experience with Micro Strategy Architect, Developer, and Web.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
