Job SummaryThe Business Analyst (Junior‑Mid Level) plays an active role on Agile delivery teams by translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements. This role supports Agile ceremonies, manages work items in Azure Dev Ops, and uses data (including SQL queries) to validate requirements and outcomes. This position is ideal for an analyst with foundational experience who can independently handle smaller initiatives, actively contribute to sprint delivery, and continue developing deeper technical and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities Agile Delivery & Team Collaboration- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, developers, QA, and business stakeholders to clarify scope and priorities
- Ensure user stories are ready for development and aligned with sprint commitments
- Support continuous delivery by refining and clarifying requirements ahead of sprint execution
- Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements including user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional documentation
- Break down business needs into clear, testable stories suitable for Agile teams
- Identify gaps, assumptions, risks, and dependencies
- Maintain traceability between business needs and delivered features
- Create, refine, and manage backlog items in Azure Dev Ops
- Support backlog prioritization and sprint planning
- Track progress using dashboards and queries
- Use SQL to validate assumptions, analyze data, and support testing
- Partner with technical teams to understand data structures
- Document current‑state processes and assist with future‑state design
- Create and execute test cases
- Support UAT and validate solutions meet requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Analytics, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience
- 1‑3 years of Business Analyst or Systems Analyst experience
- Agile or Scrum environment experience
- Hands‑on Azure Dev Ops experience
- Azure Dev Ops, SQL (basic to intermediate), Excel
- Agile user story writing
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, and adaptability
Estimated Min Rate: $31.50 Estimated Max Rate: $45.00
