About

The objective of the Health Data Hub is to enable facilitated, unified, transparent, and secure access to a catalog of French health databases for public interest research projects. We support project leaders who contribute to finding solutions for the future to improve the health of all citizens.

How?

The Health Data Hub has implemented a technological platform that provides project leaders, in a secure and state-of-the-art technological environment, pseudonymized health data of French citizens. These project leaders will mobilize very large data sources, cross them with each other, and use computing power to run complex research algorithms. These are examples of start-up projects to improve software for healthcare professionals, projects to improve patient care by comparing the effectiveness of care, projects led by administrations to inform public policies.

The direction of projects and user services, directly attached to the general direction, is responsible for the end-to-end support of projects that aim to use pseudonymized health data in the technological platform of the Health Data Hub. Project leaders are, for example:

• start-ups that seek to improve software to assist healthcare professionals;

• hospitals or other healthcare structures that wish to develop tools/methods to improve patient care or certain pathologies;

• administrations that want to inform decisions in public policies;

• universities or other academic actors that seek to improve the knowledge of certain pathologies or apply the latest advances in artificial intelligence in the field of health;

• health industries that wish to develop tools/methods to identify more quickly and more efficiently the molecules of interest that can benefit patients on a pathology;

• European or international institutions, which wish to develop, in secure spaces, projects of cooperation between teams from different countries and/or on data from different countries.

When a project leader submits their project to the Health Data Hub, a project manager from the direction of projects and user services is identified to support them through all the steps leading to the obtaining of the data necessary for the realization of their study. This support is major for the project leader as it will allow them to reduce the time of access to the data and to benefit from tools that are not available in other platforms.

For the project manager, it is a matter of mastering the project lifecycle and being able to address the relevant business teams at different stages of the follow-up. Each project manager accompanies a portfolio of projects.

The Health Data Hub aims to significantly increase the number of projects benefiting from its support and its technological platform, with the objective of supporting annually 200 projects using the platform. It will therefore be necessary for you to join a dynamic and growing team.

The project managers of the direction are responsible for a portfolio of project leaders and in this context, are required to:

• Accompany projects in the entire implementation of the data access process: conduct regulatory and technical workshops, coordinate internal and external actors for the proper progress of the project, and manage the imposed schedules. The project managers are thus required to exchange with different teams and coordinate the action of the internal experts of the Health Data Hub for the projects (Legal, DPO, Product, Front Office, Data, Technical, SSI).

• Facilitate the adoption of the platform by the users of the projects, in cooperation with the directions involved in the operations (Technical, Data and Product), and regularly report the feedback/needs of the users of the platform throughout the project.

• Participate in the realization of cross-functional projects, in order to improve existing processes and the service offer of the Health Data Hub (for example: support management, operational excellence, user satisfaction follow-up, etc).

During the internship, you will be:

• the follow-up and reporting around the progress of the project portfolio

• the improvement of the project portfolio management tools

• the operational excellence and continuous improvement of project support

• the strengthening of user support in taking over the platform

In this context, you will be fully integrated into the team of the direction and will participate in its different weekly rituals. The projects may lead you to exchange with the project managers of the direction and other directions of the Health Data Hub. This list is not exhaustive; the intern may support his/her direction in other missions.
