Position: Accessibility Tester (Addison)

Accessibility Tester (Addison) (BH-110236)

Location Addison, United States Sector Banking

The Accessibility Tester will be responsible for evaluating digital products and applications to ensure they meet accessibility standards and guidelines. This role involves testing web and mobile interfaces, identifying accessibility issues, and collaborating with development teams to implement solutions that provide an inclusive user experience for all.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct accessibility testing on web and mobile applications using manual and automated tools.
  • Review and interpret accessibility requirements based on WCAG, ADA, and Section 508 standards.
  • Document and report accessibility issues, providing clear recommendations for remediation.
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and QA teams to ensure accessibility is integrated throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Stay current with accessibility best practices, tools, and technologies.
  • Participate in accessibility audits and provide feedback to improve processes.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining accessibility documentation and guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in accessibility testing for web and/or mobile applications
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA, Section 508)
  • Knowledge of assistive technologies (screen readers, magnifiers, etc.)
  • Experience using accessibility testing tools (e.g., Axe, JAWS, NVDA, WAVE)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to document findings and communicate recommendations clearly
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Accessibility certification (e.g., IAAP CPACC, WAS, or similar)
  • Experience conducting usability studies with people with disabilities
  • Knowledge of mobile accessibility guidelines (Android/iOS)
  • Experience training or mentoring teams on accessibility best practices
  • Understanding of inclusive design principles
  • Prior experience working in Agile environments
  • Knowledge of functional and Automation is plus
