As a Facilities Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting a fast-growing restaurant group, ensuring that all properties maintain operational excellence, safety, and optimal performance. This is your chance to lead facility operations, enhance brand standards, and impact the guest experience by keeping the physical environments functioning at their best while collaborating with talented teams.
Responsibilities:
- Manage regular maintenance and repair schedules for HVAC systems, kitchen equipment, plumbing, and electrical systems across all restaurant locations.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for repairs, maintenance, and service contracts to ensure timely, cost-effective solutions.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failures and minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and internal standards by overseeing inspections and certifications.
- Control facilities budgets and monitor expenditures for repairs, maintenance, and capital improvements, staying within budget guidelines.
- Act as the primary point of contact for emergency maintenance situations, responding quickly to breakdowns, outages, or structural issues.
- Oversee and coordinate with maintenance personnel, providing training on equipment handling, safety procedures, and repair processes.
- Travel as needed (approximately 20%) to support maintenance and inspections at various locations.
Must-Have Skills:
- Previous experience in facilities management, preferably within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
- Vendor management and negotiation skills for service contracts and repairs.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and budget management abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations, building codes, and compliance requirements.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities to oversee teams and coordinate between locations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software.
- Physical capability to work with tools, equipment, climb ladders, and perform maintenance tasks in various environments.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management or a related field.
- Experience managing facilities for multiple locations within the restaurants industry.
- Training in safety certifications and compliance processes (e.g., OSHA, fire safety).
- Advanced project management certifications or training.
- Experience with data-driven decision making and results-oriented problem solving.
