The Business Transformation team at FTI Consulting works in close partnership with our clients – companies and investment funds – management teams, employees, boards of directors, and shareholders, throughout the lifecycle of their value creation to anticipate, illuminate, and overcome their complex transformation, turnaround, or transaction challenges.

By combining operational experience and consulting methodologies, we provide relevant and practical solutions focused around operational and financial value levers that meet the strategic needs of our clients.

Our services include due diligence and strategic, operational, and financial diagnostics, the development and implementation of transformation, turnaround, or restructuring plans, merger/acquisition operations, integration and spin-off, and the provision of Chief Restructuring or Transformation Officers.

The Business Transformation service line is part of our Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment, which also includes Financial Restructuring, Transaction Services, or M&A activities. Teams from these different service lines are regularly called upon to work together on complex transformation, turnaround, or restructuring situations.

The Corporate Finance segment has experienced very strong growth in recent years globally and its development in France is a key element of FTI Consulting's development strategy in Europe.

What you will do

As a Director or Senior Director, you will lead projects in close collaboration with our clients, for the execution of various mandates. In this role, typical activities include:

• Due diligence and strategic, operational, and financial diagnostics
• Development of transformation, restructuring, or turnaround plans addressing all or part of the levers for rationalization and rebound
• Formulation of business plans
• Preparation of integration (post-merger management) or spin-off (carve-out) plans
• Support in the implementation of these plans
• High-level client relations
• Written and oral communication associated with missions (presentations, reports)

In addition to your project management responsibilities, and according to your seniority, you will take an increasingly active part in the development of our activities with our clients and prospects companies and investment funds. This role will lead you to participate in our growth efforts mainly in France but also in Europe, depending on your sectoral and/or functional expertise.

If you were already at FTI Consulting, you may have led teams in charge of accompanying:

• An industrial company, in the definition and conduct of an ambitious value creation program acting both on its topline (customers, products/services, channels, pricing, salesforce effectiveness) and its bottom-line (operating model, supply-chain, operations, structure and sizing of organizations)
• A company owned by an investment fund, in the improvement of the profitability of its existing clients, products, and sales channels, thanks to some of our proprietary analytical tools allowing it to redefine its commercial priorities
• A global high-technology company, to review its organizational efficiency through some of our in-house tools, having led to a simpler, more efficient, and less costly organization
• A service industrial company owned by an investment fund, to review all its operational costs and evaluate the relevance of its investments, in order to increase its operational and financial performance
• A leading investment fund, in the acquisition of a company, thanks to a set of strategic, commercial, operational, and financial due diligence, followed by support in the post-merger integration with another portfolio company
• A company in its operational restructuring related to the simplification of its industrial mesh, leading to a significant rationalization of its operational and support structures across all of Europe

Qualifications and experience

• Graduate school of engineering or business education
• Proven project management experience in a leading international consulting firm
• Additional operational experience in senior positions would be an asset
