ASSEMBLER/SOLDERING - ELECTRONICS MANUFACTURING
DESCRIPTION: Assembler /soldering associate assembles electronic components and installs discreet devices on printed circuit boards in accordance to manufacturing instructions. This includes soldering components to PC boards and performing other electrical related assembly procedures. Strong soldering experience of small electrical components is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to work with very small surface mount technology (SMT) components and place them in the correct positions on PCBs. Soldering experience with thru‑hole PCB components required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Dexterity and good eyesight are essential. Knowledge of soldering is a must as well as prior assembly/manufacturing experience. Must be able to speak and understand instructions given in English. High school diploma required.
REQUIRED
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- IPC J‑STD‑001 soldering certification.
- Ability to inspect and repair solder connections.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work on electro‑mechanical assembly on smaller scale.
- Ability to read work instructions and drawings.
PREFERRED SKILL AND
EXPERIENCE:
- IPC‑A‑610 inspection experience.
- Experience performing through‑hole assembly combined with SMT manufacturing.
- Technical degree in electronics manufacturing preferred, but not required.
