Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: $18.00–$20.00/hour

We are currently seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our team in support of an exciting telecommunications cabinet build project.

This is a hands-on, seasonal/project-based opportunity assisting our Engineering and Production teams with the assembly of telecommunications cabinets and related equipment. While the position is currently intended to support a specific customer project, there may be opportunities for the assignment to continue based on business needs and workload.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Mechanical Assembly Technician I provides hands-on production support by assisting with the assembly of telecommunications cabinets and related equipment.

This position works alongside our Engineering and Production teams to assemble cabinet frames, install mechanical hardware, organize materials, route cables, and prepare completed assemblies for customer delivery. The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in producing quality work, and thrives in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

Previous electronics troubleshooting experience is not required. We are primarily seeking someone who is mechanically inclined, dependable, eager to learn, and comfortable using common hand/power tools.

  • Assist with the assembly of telecommunications cabinets and related equipment.
  • Install shelves, rails, brackets, panels, cable management systems, and other mechanical hardware.
  • Utilize common hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Organize, stage, and prepare materials and components for production.
  • Assist with routing cables and installing mechanical components as directed.
  • Follow assembly instructions, engineering drawings, and established production procedures.
  • Inspect completed work to help ensure quality and workmanship standards are maintained.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Production personnel to meet customer delivery schedules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands | Work Environment
  • Ability to safely perform the physical demands of the position, including frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, and working with hand tools throughout the workday.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to assemble components, operate tools, and handle materials.
  • Ability to access information using a computer or other electronic devices as needed.
  • Work is performed in a clean, organized, climate-controlled indoor manufacturing and production environment.
  • This position requires onsite attendance and is not eligible for remote work.
Dress Code

Casual work clothing suitable for a production environment is appropriate, including a T-shirt or similar casual shirt, jeans or work pants, and closed-toe shoes. Steel-toe or composite-toe footwear are also acceptable, but not required.
