Wound Care Center Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider, the LPN provides wound‑related and basic nursing care to patients in the Wound Care Center, following all Healogics policies, hospital procedures, and clinical guidelines.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities- Provide wound‑related patient care in accordance with BLS and approved hospital protocols.
- Assist in the vein clinic after completing Healogics Vein Clinic training; support intake and discharge processes.
- Assist in case management under the direction of the RN, following state regulations.
- Gather patient information and necessary supplies for the RN or Provider.
- Report quality of care issues to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
- Communicate with team members regarding therapeutic interventions to ensure quality of care.
- Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy duties as needed, after completing required hyperbaric training.
- May serve as Hyperbaric Safety Director after completing required safety director training.
- Act as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) according to Healogics policy.
- Perform additional duties as delegated.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program or state‑approved educational program.
- Current LPN or LVN license in the state of practice; license must be maintained throughout employment.
- Two or more years of experience as an LPN/LVN, including at least one year in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long‑term acute care hospital (LTACH) setting.
- Wound‑care experience preferred.

- Demonstrated competency in BLS.
- Strong organizational, prioritization and time‑management skills.
- Basic knowledge of healthcare regulatory and accrediting requirements.
- Strong interpersonal, listening, oral and written communication skills.
- Customer service and follow‑up skills.
- Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to remain calm in all situations.
- Working knowledge of computerized nursing systems.
- Stationary for extended periods (4+ hours).
- Frequent computer use (screen and input for 4+ hours).
- Read, communicate, write, and use color perception.
- Lift or move items up to 20 pounds; lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.
- Push/pull, bend/stoop, reach/grasp with hands.
- Normal office and patient care environment, primarily indoors.
- Exposure to blood‑borne pathogens, chemicals, flammable gases, and mechanical equipment.
- Hourly rate range: $25.89 – $34.10 per hour, based on qualifications, location, and operational needs.
