The elevator pitch of the role

As an apprentice in Consumer and Sensory Science, you will support the design and analysis of sensory and consumer studies to consumer preferences. You will help translate sensory data into actionable insights that guide product innovation, Flavor optimization, and consumer‑centric decisions, bridging scientific rigor with real‑world food experience.

Your key responsibilities

• Support the consumer studies developed by the Taste team in dsm-firmenich
• Be involved in the methodologies used for consumer research to be able to better understand flavor perception, and food choice of different products.
• Summarize the results of the studies into actionable insights with some statistic knowledge, but also story telling of the results
• Transform data into graphs, tables, slides and any design that can support the insights of consumer research
• Be passionate about sensory science, and support the sensory science team
• Organize sensory science information related to sensory description and methodologies.

You bring

• Strong technical sensory background (Master 1ou 2 Analyse Sensorielle, Psychologie ou Market Research)
• Statistical expertise in linear and multivariate analysis (manage statistical softwares)
• Ability to collaborate with different groups within the company (e.g., Research, Sensory, Development)
• Excellent communications skills and the ability to inspire
• English skills: able to read, write and speak fluently
