Area Sales Manager POSITION SUMMARY

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for the performance, profitability, and day-to-day sales leadership of multiple Grand Homes communities. This hands-on leader recruits, develops, and inspires high-performing Sales Associates while driving sales results, maintaining an active presence in the field, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver an exceptional home buying experience. Success in this role requires a player-coach mindset, a passion for developing people, and the ability to lead by example.

ESSENTIAL

FUNCTIONS

The following essential functions describe the primary responsibilities of this position but are not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties.

Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead with integrity, professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to the Grand Homes culture and values.
  • Recruit, hire, coach, develop, and retain high-performing Sales Associates across multiple assigned communities.
  • Lead from the front by maintaining a visible presence within assigned communities, providing hands-on coaching, and modeling sales excellence and exceptional customer service.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions, performance evaluations, and development planning to strengthen individual performance and prepare future sales leaders.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, monitor results, and provide timely coaching, recognition, and corrective action, as appropriate.
  • Foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture that promotes teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer service.
  • Build strong partnerships across Sales, Construction, Design, Marketing, Mortgage, Title, and other departments to achieve business objectives and deliver an exceptional home buying experience.
Sales & Operational Management
  • Manage the sales operations of multiple assigned communities.
  • Drive community sales performance through strategic coaching, pipeline management, conversion improvement, and accountability.
  • Lead by example by partnering with Sales Associates during customer appointments, negotiations, and closing opportunities when appropriate.
  • Evaluate sales metrics, traffic, conversion rates, and market trends to identify opportunities for improved performance.
  • Develop and execute action plans to achieve community sales goals.
  • Ensure consistent execution of Grand Homes' sales process, standards, and customer experience expectations across all assigned communities.
  • Partner with Construction, Design, Marketing, Mortgage, Title, and corporate teams to support successful home closings.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, sales standards, and ethical business practices.
KNOWLEDGE,

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of new home sales, residential construction, and the home buying process.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret sales reports and identify opportunities to improve performance.
  • Ability to influence, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound business decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel between communities and work a flexible schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of successful new home sales experience; previous sales leadership experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success building, coaching, mentoring, and leading high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM software, and sales reporting tools.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
  • This is a full-time, field-based leadership role supporting multiple communities throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
  • Maintain a visible presence within assigned communities to support Sales Associates, customers, and business operations.
  • Regular travel between assigned communities, model homes, sales offices, and active residential construction sites is required.
  • Regular weekend work, including Saturdays and Sundays, is an essential function of this position.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, holidays, and extended hours, as business needs require.
  • Ability to routinely walk model homes and active construction sites, navigate uneven terrain and stairs, and occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Routinely stand, walk, and move throughout model homes, sales offices, and active residential construction sites for extended periods.
  • Navigate uneven terrain, stairs, and homes under construction safely and effectively.
