FRPS Cargo Security Agents perform specialized security work focused on high-value cargo escort operations. Assignments include both in-state armed escorts and nationwide unarmed escort operations. This is not an entry-level role—professionalism, discretion, and strong situational awareness are required at all times.
Agents oversee secure transport operations for cargo loads from pickup through delivery. Responsibilities include verifying documentation, completing required reports, and maintaining communication with the FRPS Security Operations Center (SOC).
Assignments may involve working in uniform or plain clothes, independently or as part of a two-person team. Agents spend significant time on the road, monitoring surroundings and ensuring the secure transport of goods.
All operations are supported by the SOC with live GPS and video monitoring. FRPS provides company vehicles, rental cars, return airfare, and company-issued credit cards for fuel. All necessary equipment, including advanced security technology, is provided.
Assignments are scheduled on short notice, typically ONLY 6–48 hours in advance, with most falling within 12–24 hours prior to the requested pick up time. Flexibility and responsiveness are essential. Weekly hours may vary significantly based on operational needs.
Minimum requirements include prior law enforcement or military experience, a current Texas Level III Commissioned Security License, an active Level IV Personal Protection Officer (PPO) endorsement, current firearms qualification, a valid Texas Driver's License (or ability to obtain before hire), a clean driving history, ability to sit, stand, and drive for extended periods, strong communication skills and professional demeanor, ability to meet client appearance and conduct standards, and strong attention to detail when reviewing fine elements such as identification and shipping/receiving documentation.
Preferred qualifications include experience in executive protection, corporate security, or cargo/transport security, and strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Compensation and benefits include hourly pay of $27.50 – $35.00 (based on experience and assignment), bi-weekly direct deposit, W2 employee (overtime eligible after 40 hours/week), medical contribution up to $300/month, 401(k) with up to 4% company match (after 6 months), dental and vision insurance, paid time off (PTO), company vehicles, rental cars, and airfare provided, company-issued fuel cards, agents retain travel rewards (airline miles, rental credits), all equipment provided, including advanced security technology, and advancement opportunities as FRPS expands.
