Nextech is recruiting an Installation Technician responsible for installing new light commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment along with related controls.

USD $25.00/Hr. – USD $40.00/Hr.
Responsibilities- Drive company vehicles to and from home, branch office, and work sites.
- Coordinate and communicate work tasks with team members.
- Communicate work status with city officials, crane operators, other contractors, jobsite customer representatives, and property managers.
- Maintain accurate records for branch office regarding work status.
- Keep records of plans, paperwork, and files related to work.
- Measure and fabricate ductwork to project specifications.
- Install and insulate duct systems.
- Perform gas piping installation and layout.
- Replace rooftop units (RTUs) efficiently and safely.
- Replace split systems and boilers.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
- Follow all service procedures required by the customer, including IVR check‑in, backup paperwork, and picture documentation of work.
- Monitor and improve job safety, quality, and productivity.
- Follow all standards, policies, and procedures established by Nextech management.
- Participate in training and testing programs.
- Work efficiently with technology tools, including smartphones, laptops, tablets, and required software.
- Apply knowledge of manufacturer installation practices and codes for small refrigeration equipment, walk‑in boxes, ice machines, soda/fountain machines, racks, supermarkets, and multiple compressor installations.
- Demonstrate self‑motivation and successful experience in previous roles and responsibilities.
- Multitask and obtain supervisor approval on questions or concerns.
- Show integrity, reliability, and ability to listen to and implement supervision from managers or supervisors.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- EPA certification required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an HVACR assistant installer, commercial refrigeration installer, or equivalent.
- Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
- Knowledge of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills for iPad and cell‑phone communication and documentation.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays if needed.
- Ability to maintain light to moderate physical activity for an 8‑hour period in outdoor environments exposed to sun, wind, rain, heat, and cold.
- Ability to perform more strenuous physical activity including extended overhead work in ceilings, crawling and working in tight spaces, and periodically lifting objects weighing up to 75 lbs.
