Sun Protection of Florida (SPF) is a leader in motorized screens and retractable awnings, serving customers across Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and Texas. As part of the Hunter Douglas family of brands, we install high-end outdoor solutions that transform how people use their homes.
We’re growing fast in Texas and looking for a licensed Electrician who wants more than just electrical work —this role blends field electrical, project planning, and customer interaction.
What You’ll Do- Install 120V outlets and circuits (GFCI/AFCI) for motorized screens and awnings
- Perform on‑site measurements (remeasures) to ensure jobs are built and installed correctly
- Work directly with homeowners to finalize project details
- Use iPad/CRM to document measurements, photos, and job notes
- Collaborate with Install, Sales, and QA teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues as needed
- Help deliver a 5-star customer experience on every job
- Active Texas Electrical License
- Licensed Wireman
- Experience with residential electrical work (120V circuits)
- Comfortable working outdoors, in attics, and at heights
- Strong communication skills with customers and team members
- Organized, detail-oriented, and tech-friendly (iPad/Face Time/CRM)
- Clean driving record
- Not heavy electrical work — focused on light residential (low amp loads)
- Hybrid role — get out of repetitive electrical-only work and into project ownership
- Direct impact — you help plan the job, not just install it

- $27-30/hr
- Monthly Commission
- Earn 0.5% of job value on completed remeasures
