Experience and expertise in adding product attributes and media to a retail catalog

Expertise in catalog domain services

Industry is critical for this role - should be food and beverage or alcoholic beverage distribution

This role involves testing backend services and APIs that power a large-scale eCommerce platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in backend testing, API automation, and system integration, with a solid foundation in eCommerce and its interaction with surrounding systems like notification services, cloud platforms, and third-party integrations. Responsibilities:

• Perform functional manual testing for backend services across the catalog domain.
• Adding product attributes, content management and back end services: API for Catalog products sold on the website
• Conduct UI and API integration testing across microservices architecture.
• Design and implement API automation tests using Selenium, Playwright, and Java-based frameworks.
• Develop and execute test cases for service integrations, including notifications, badge files, AWS Lambda, and cloud-based services.
• Utilize tools like Postman, Rest Assured, and Mockito for service testing and mocking.
• Manage test cases and defects using JIRA or similar test management tools.
• Ensure high reliability and accuracy of data served through centralized domain services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate service functionality and performance across applications.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in QA with a focus on backend/API and eCommerce platforms (B2B/B2C).
• Proven expertise in API automation using Postman, Rest Assured, or equivalent tools.
• Experience adding product attributes and media to a retail catalog
• Strong automation skills using Selenium, Playwright, or JavaScript-based tools.
• Experience with mocking frameworks like Mockito or similar.
• Strong understanding of how eCommerce systems integrate with other platforms and services.
• Knowledge of cloud services and microservices-based architecture, including AWS and Lambda functions.
• Familiarity with JIRA and other test management tools.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and service validation strategies.
