Java Developer

Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of existing test suites from Selenium Java to Playwright, evaluating, designing, and implementing robust automation architecture focused on long‑term maintainability.
• Own the health of the Auth Hub automation framework, performing maintenance, refactoring aging components, and refining patterns to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Conduct deep‑dive technical research into complex automation hurdles, evaluate potential solutions for sustainability, and avoid technical debt or shortcut engineering.
• Establish and enforce best‑in‑class coding standards, file structures, and design patterns, acting as the team’s technical anchor through rigorous peer reviews and mentorship.
• Architect and build intelligent AI agents and custom instructions within the automation ecosystem to accelerate testing velocity and reduce manual intervention.
• Support additional QA activities, develop best practice guidelines, and mentor team members.

• Extensive experience in test automation frameworks, particularly Selenium/Java, and proven track record of migrating or building modern frameworks using Playwright in Java.
• Architectural mindset with a demonstrated history of making technical decisions that balance short‑term delivery with long‑term framework sustainability.
• Strong passion for clean code, modular architecture, and comprehensive documentation; comfortable defining and enforcing team‑wide standards through constructive code reviews.
• Familiarity with AI tools and LLM‑based automation (e.g., building agents, prompts, or custom workflows) to solve complex technical bottlenecks.
• Excellent research and diagnostic skills, capable of articulating technical debt trade‑offs to stakeholders.
• Exposure to authentication and identity technologies and domain knowledge in consumer and retail banking.
• Experience strengthening integration between onshore and offshore functions and implementing Dev Ops practices.

Salary: $95,000–$110,000 per annum
