OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and experienced 20 Tonne Excavator Operator to join our team at a project located on Woodham Lane, New Haw. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional operator with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety and precision. The ideal candidate will hold a valid CPCS or NPORS certification and have a proven track record of operating heavy machinery in a construction or similar environment.
Responsibilities- Operate a 20-tonne excavator efficiently and safely in accordance with project requirements and safety regulations.
- Perform excavation, trenching, grading, and other related tasks as directed by the site supervisor.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on the excavator to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on-site.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
- Valid CPCS or NPORS certification for operating a 20-tonne excavator.
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery, particularly excavators, in a construction or similar setting.
- Strong understanding of excavation techniques and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret site plans and follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive and safety-conscious attitude.
- Begin each day with a safety briefing and equipment inspection.
- Operate the excavator to perform tasks such as digging, grading, and material handling.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to meet project deadlines.
- Monitor the condition of the excavator and perform minor maintenance as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
