Maintenance Technician

As the Maintenance Technician
, at ICL Growing Solutions, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the reliability of equipment and facilities at our Adel plant. Your technical expertise will ensure safe, efficient operations and support our high standards of production and compliance.

• Diagnose and Repair:
  Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical equipment issues; replace faulty components as needed.
• Emergency Response:
  Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Preventive Maintenance:
  Perform and document scheduled maintenance activities to keep equipment running optimally.
• Equipment Reliability:
  Maintain equipment in top condition and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and maintenance procedures.
• Safety and Compliance:
  Ensure all maintenance activities meet OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards.
• Tools and Equipment:
  Safely operate cranes, hoists, hand/power tools, precision measurement tools, and electronic testing devices.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work with operations and other departments to resolve equipment issues.
• Inventory Management:
  Maintain parts and tools inventory for timely repairs.
• Documentation:
  Keep accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
• Additional Duties:
  Operate machines as needed for troubleshooting or to support production during peak periods.

• High School Diploma or GED required

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent technical education and work experience.
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings; preferred.
• Electrical troubleshooting skills (480 volts and lower); preferred.
• Basic familiarity with instrumentation (level, flow, temperature), PLCs, and HMIs.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of conveying systems, rotating equipment, fans, pneumatics, and packaging equipment.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb stairs, and enter confined spaces.
• Welding skills (stick/MIG; stainless preferred) a plus

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively across teams.

This may include safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face masks, and, when necessary, full hazmat suits with respirators.
