Cultivation Technician

Position Summary

The Cultivation Technician I provides manual labor to support operations within the Cultivation department, while abiding by laws, rules, policies, procedures, and operational guidelines. This position primarily supports the flower department with day‑to‑day plant maintenance tasks and sanitation responsibilities, and may be flexed to support veg, mom, and propagation as determined by business need.

• Physical, repetitive agricultural work, follow directions and take instructions from supervisors
• Repetitive climbing on a ladder or working on an elevated platform
• Netting and Trellis flower plants
• Loading plants and placing emitters
• Tucking and spreading plants as directed
• Pruning and defoliating plants
• Proper use of PPE in accordance with company guidelines
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and bag any excess plant material leaving the grow room clean once plant maintenance is completed
• Clean, sanitize, and store all grow room tools and equipment upon use
• Perform various manual cross‑department job duties as needed
• Secondary but essential job functions
• All other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)
• Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening

• Must be able to handle organic matter daily, wear PPE as appropriate and be able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a height of 5 feet and a distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
• Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods, maintaining body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, repetitive movements and reaching, and using hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
• At times the entire shift may be spent standing
• Requires repetitive hand, wrist, finger and elbow movement
• Must have visual acuity with or without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, and visual inspection involving small parts/details; clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
• Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversational levels with co‑workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)
