Dispatcher

We are looking for a dispatcher to support community service operations for a government agency. This long-term contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can manage incoming concerns, document details accurately, and coordinate responses with field personnel in a detail-oriented and timely manner. The role requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to stay composed while assisting members of the public in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to incoming calls and inquiries related to public concerns such as code issues, animal-related matters, parking complaints, graffiti, illegal dumping, abandoned vehicles, and nuisance properties.
• Record incident details thoroughly and open service requests in the appropriate databases and software platforms.
• Assign and relay reported issues to code enforcement staff, animal control personnel, and other field teams as needed.
• Maintain organized files and support documentation retention in accordance with established recordkeeping practices.
• Use computers, office equipment, and standard business software to manage daily administrative and dispatch activities.
• Deliver courteous and solutions-focused service while speaking with individuals who may be upset, emotional, or confrontational.
• Support general office and coordination tasks and carry out additional related duties as assigned.
