Our client is looking for a Field Quality Lead to support a major Power Delivery Electrical Construction project.

The Field Quality Lead supports project-related quality management activities and helps ensure that quality control inspections and activities are performed and documented in accordance with project requirements. The position works closely with Quality Leads, Quality Managers, Project Managers, and Construction Managers to monitor and oversee project quality activities and deliverables. This is a field-focused role supporting an active construction-site environment in Adelanto, California.

MAJOR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor and oversee required quality activities and deliverables in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans, QC inspections, drawing and specification compliance, and manufacturers’ recommendations.

• Participate in systematic and independent reviews and audits as assigned.

• Identify and document issues that cause or contribute to deviations from planned or expected outcomes and assist in developing corrective action plans.

• Ensure contract-specified Factory Acceptance Testing, QA/QC testing, monitoring, and records documentation are incorporated into project quality plans and activities.

• Participate in project quality, construction, and safety meetings.

• Assist with coordination and communication of third-party testing and inspections.

• Provide hands-on quality oversight and support for field construction activities in an active construction-site environment.

• Assist senior-level quality managers with maintenance and updates to the project quality management plan.

• Assist with internal and external metric reporting on established quality objectives and KPIs.

• Participate in quality-related discussions during preparatory meetings and provide input regarding compliance and verification requirements.

• Adhere to applicable internal standards, policies, and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate’s degree in a relevant field or a minimum of four (4) years of experience in quality control/assurance or a related field.

• General understanding of quality inspections, audits, and quality programs.

• Strong electrical construction background is required; experience with substation and transmission systems is strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with safety requirements and environmental considerations.

• Experience in surveillance oversight programs and general knowledge of quality assurance processes.

• Comprehensive understanding of equipment and material specifications and testing requirements.

• Basic understanding of critical path scheduling.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as construction management sciences, electrical engineering, or civil engineering, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• OSHA 10- and 30-Hour certification.

• Four (4) years of construction or quality management experience on EPC, Design-Build, or CMAR projects.

• Four (4) years of experience performing surveillance monitoring of equipment or materials production facilities, or construction quality management in the power delivery space.

• Relevant certifications in electrical and civil inspection, testing, or commissioning.

• Experience supervising or leading an inspection or management team.

SKILLS

• Technical experience related to design, construction, and related procurement requirements.

• General writing and documentation skills using Microsoft Word, Bluebeam, or similar software packages.

• Knowledge of advanced construction techniques, testing, and standards compliance.

• Solid understanding of equipment and material specifications and testing requirements.

• Strong critical thinking skills with close attention to detail.

• Strong organizational and planning skills.

Effective communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

• Experience or exposure implementing inspection and testing programs for civil, earthwork, and power delivery scope is desired.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Field / on-site assignment in Adelanto, California 92301.

• Ability to work primarily in an active construction-site environment while providing field quality oversight and support.
