Position: System Administrator - Windows with Security Clearance
Description SAIC is seeking a Windows System Administrator to be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of Windows-based workstations and services at the Army Research Laboratory in Adelphi, MD. Work is performed on site. You will be a part of a diverse team supporting a globally distributed information systems, responsible for the analysis, administration, voice, video, and data communications networks.

Job Responsibilities:

* Manage Windows Server environments and support Active Directory, Group Policy, and MECM operations.

* Install and configure operating systems and software updates following Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

* Perform system patching, Power Shell scripting, and release management activities.

* Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability of network resources.

* Schedule and maintain system backups, ensuring data/media recover-ability and integrity.

* Conduct routine audits for compliance with DoD security standards.

* Document system configurations and maintain a comprehensive hardware/software library.

* Collaborate with IT and Cyber Security teams to support remediation, patching, and vulnerability scanning efforts.

* Work with customers to develop new value-added programs and data solutions with existing structures and new requirements. Qualifications Required

Education and Experience:

* Bachelors and three (3) years or more experience

* An additional 4 yrs of experience can be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
* Three (3) years of relevant experience working in an IT or Service Desk environment.
Clearance Requirements:
* Must be a US Citizen.
* Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance. And must be willing to obtain a Top Secret clearance. Required Certification:
* IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).

* Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification
Preferred:
* Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v4 certification

* Microsoft operating system environment certification (e.g., Windows 10, Windows 11, or Microsoft Server 2019, etc.).

* Experience with incident management within the Service Now Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) platform.

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

* Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures.

* Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.

* A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.

* Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.

* Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.

* Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
