Position: System Administrator with Security Clearance
Description SAIC is seeking a System Administrator to be managing and maintaining systems across Windows, macOS, and/or Linux platforms across multiple networks in support of the Army Research Laboratory in Adelphi, MD. Work is performed on site. You will be a part of a diverse team supporting globally distributed information systems, responsible for the analysis, administration, voice, video, and data communications networks.

Job Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot servers and workstations, ensuring optimal performance and security.

• Manage Windows Server environments and support Active Directory, Group Policy, and MECM operations.

• Install and configure operating systems and software updates following Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

• Perform system patching, Power Shell scripting, and release management activities.

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability of network resources.

• Schedule and maintain system backups, ensuring data/media recoverability and integrity.

• Conduct routine audits for compliance with DoD security standards.

• Document system configurations and maintain a comprehensive hardware/software library.

• Collaborate with IT and Cyber Security teams to support remediation, patching, and vulnerability scanning efforts.

• Work with customers to develop new value-added programs and data solutions with existing structures and new requirements. Qualifications Required

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors and three (3) years or more experience-- An additional 4 yrs of experience can be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
• Three (3) years of relevant experience working in an IT or Service Desk environment. Clearance Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen.

• Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance. And must be willing to obtain a Top Secret clearance. Required

Certifications:

• IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).

• MAC OS, Red Hat Certified System Admin, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification. Preferred:

• Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v4 certification.

• Microsoft operating system environment certification (e.g., Windows 10, Windows 11, or Microsoft Server 2019, etc.).

• Experience with incident management within the Service Now Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) platform.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

• Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures.

• Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.

• A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.

• Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.

• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
