Job Description
MAC System Administrator (Intermediate-Level) to join our team at Adelphi, MD. U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Top Secret Clearance. Non-remote (relocation incentive available).
Responsibilities- Deploy, manage, and support macOS systems and software installations.
- Enforce endpoint management policies, including configuration profiles, security baselines, and device encryption.
- Perform macOS patching, system updates, and automation using Bash or Apple Script.
- Manage user authentication and access controls in coordination with directory services.
- Monitor performance and ensure security hardening using DoD-mandated configurations.
- Coordinate data backups and recovery processes using approved solutions.
- Conduct compliance audits and maintain an accurate inventory of Apple hardware/software.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for macOS best practices, collaborating with other platform admins.
- U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
- BA/BS in Computer Science or Information Technology with two (2+) additional years of experience OR five (5+) years of relevant IT or Service Desk experience.
- IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/8140 (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP).
- MacOS (Apple Certified Support Professional) or equivalent.
- Ability to work with customers to develop new value-added programs and data solutions within existing structures and new requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- ITIL v4 certification.
- Experience with incident management in Service Now ITSM.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Experience documenting technical processes and procedures.
- Experience in a DoD environment.
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills; strong self-starter; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Salary Range: $57,000 - $96,000
Several factors influence the final compensation, including contract wage determinations, relevant work experience, role-specific skills and certifications, geographic location, and education.
