Communications and Events Strategist, Mid OverviewSupport the planning of multiple simultaneous events for a U.S. Army client. Assist with coordination and execution of logistics for in-person and virtual events. Design, develop, and produce a variety of internal and external communications and events materials. Apply detail-oriented skills, balance priorities, and contribute to a team that fosters creativity and growth. Maintain a driven, collaborative, and strategic outlook, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Apply specific functional knowledge, as well as working and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance.
- 2+ years of experience in the strategic communications field
- 2+ years of experience with event planning and execution
- Experience supporting and executing in-person and virtual meetings and events
- Experience supporting special events at the local, regional, and national levels
- Ability to manage multiple competing tasks and events, prioritize as necessary, and deliver to a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to work across organizational levels and make complex subjects easily understandable
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience working in an Army or other DoW environment
- Experience supporting and executing international events
- Knowledge of AP style
- Ability to work individually and in a collaborative team environment
- Possession of excellent listening, observation, analytical, problem recognition and problem solving skills
- Secret clearance
