Position
The City of Adrian is accepting applications for the position of Building Official.
Responsibilities- Specialized inspection work in building construction, zoning, and signs to ensure compliance with established standards, ordinances, codes, and regulations.
- Inspecting plans and specifications prior to permit issuance and ensuring compliance with building codes.
- Be a certified building inspector.
- Registration as a building official and plan reviewer is preferred.
- Considerable knowledge of laws, ordinances and codes dealing with building construction, and methods, materials, and techniques used in building design and construction.
- Six years of experience in building construction or related work.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent specialized training in a related trade is strongly preferred.
- Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license.
$74,164 - $93,037 depending on qualifications.
