PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Responsible for assisting in the management and leadership of the Adrian Clubhouse. This leadership role will work with BGCL Leadership in the implementation of daily operational and programmatic components to encourage positive youth development. This includes supporting member engagement, unit safety, staff supervision, and program implementation.
PURPOSE:
To assist with oversight and implementation of high-quality Club programming and operations that support positive youth development and developmental assets needed to achieve Academic Success, adopt a Healthy Lifestyle, and cultivate Good Character and Citizenship.

Summary
MAJOR
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead daily Club operations and program implementation following initiatives set by the organization. Supervise, evaluate, and assist in the professional development of Youth Development Professionals, student interns, externs, and volunteers as necessary. Assist with maintenance of daily staffing and scheduling for Adrian Unit hours of operation.
Support the development of a positive climate for youth development based on the mission and goals of the Boys & Girls Club of Lenawee. Encourage members to actively participate in developmentally appropriate programs and activities.
Assist in the maintenance and operation of the Club's physical property and equipment. In partnership with all Club staff, maintain a safe and clean environment. Responsible for daily opening and closing procedures. Reports issues or replacement needs promptly.
Work closely with the Club Director , and other BGCL staff to communicate and maintai n program opportunities while operat ing within the policies and procedures of the local organization, and Boys & Girls Club of America.
E nsure positive behavior support, conflict resolution, and reframing of conflict practices are fully implemented according to o rganizational p olicies and procedures. Support Youth Development Staff in de-escalating member engagement challenges .
Oversee preventative measures to ensure member and staff safety and wellbeing during hours of operation. Responsible for knowing and implementing all Club emergency procedures and the BGCL Crisis Response Plan. Document and communicate all unusual occurrences to the Club Director promptly. Maintain valid Infant, Youth, Adult First Aid /CPR and Food Handlers Certifications .
C ommunicate effectively with members, caregivers , Club staff, and community members as needed regarding elements impacting Club operations and/or members .
Seek out and participate in continuous learning and professional development opportunities related to positive youth development and leadership. Represent the organization in community groups, advisory boards, and committees as needed.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist Youth Development Professionals with programming and scheduling needs.
In collaboration with the Director of Programs & Club Director, assist in the Youth Program Quality Assessment and Continuous Quality Improvement planning and implementation, as appropriate .
Display professional behavior in alignment with the Boys & Girls Clubs’ Personnel Policy and Standards of Conduct.
Ability to adapt effectively with a changing , team-based, diverse environment.
Takes initiative to plan, organize, and conduct work both individually and with a team.
