CNB is looking for a qualified, motivated, and client- and team-focused individual to join our team as a Relationship Banker I for our on-site location in Hudson, MI.
Job SummaryA Relationship Banker I position is responsible for providing an outstanding client experience as the first point of contact for our clients. The Relationship Banker I is responsible for handling routine financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency while recognizing needs-based selling opportunities to enhance the Bank’s relationship with the client.
Key Responsibilities- Provide an exceptional client experience by completing requests which may include deposits, withdrawals, payments, check cashing, and other routine requests
- Develop knowledge of Bank products and services to better assist clients and refer them to other areas of the Bank as appropriate
- Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner and resolve basic account questions
- Respect and maintain strict confidentiality of all information acquired while performing job tasks
- Verify client identity to ensure compliance with bank policy and procedure
- Maintain an orderly work area and balance cash drawer at the end of each shift; report any discrepancy
- Maintains regular, on-time attendance
- Complies with all regulatory requirements including Bank Secrecy Act and all others specific to their position
- Performs other various duties as assigned
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
- Previous experience as a Relationship Banker I or commensurate banking experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a cooperative approach to working with others
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and positively adapt to routine changes
- Professional, friendly, and calm demeanor
- Ability to explain banking products and procedures clearly
- High attention to detail with the ability to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Basic math aptitude with the ability to handle cash and balance
- Adherence to all procedures including security and confidentiality standards
- Proficient with computers and ability to learn proprietary software
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
- Ability to use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble small objects like coins and checks
- Ability to see differences in colors, shades, and brightness to identify checks, bills, and other documents
- Comfort with using a phone, fax, or other devices for calls, document sharing, and communication
- Ability to push, lift, or pull objects up to 50 pounds
