Lenawee Christian Ministries provides Christ-centered education, spiritual development, and wellness services to the Lenawee County community, centered around Jesus Christ. The ministry is made up of two operating entities:
Lenawee Christian School and the Christian Family Centre, located in Adrian, MI.

• Lenawee Christian School exists in partnership with the family and church to integrate Biblical truth for life with a commitment to glorifying Jesus Christ through academic excellence and spiritual maturity.
• The Christian Family Centre is a world-class fitness and family activity facility that strives to assist families and individuals grow in their physical, social, and spiritual wellness with Jesus Christ being the center.

POSITION SUMMARY.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and emergency repairs, preventative maintenance and general upkeep for campus-wide facilities and equipment. This includes, but may not be limited to: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry. The Maintenance Technician is crucial to ensuring a safe, functional and comfortable environment for both The Christian Family Centre and Lenawee Christian School. Maintenance Technicians may have on call assignment for nights, weekends and holidays on a rotational basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES.

• Conduct regular inspection and scheduled upkeep to prevent breakdowns.
• Address urgent maintenance calls calmly, efficiently and effectively.
• Identify and correct safety hazards, ensuring adherence to all applicable codes.
• Maintain safe working conditions and practices while addressing maintenance repairs.
• Log chiller operations and report problems.
• Maintain and repair air handlers, unit heaters and other HVAC support equipment
• Make electrical repairs on lighting, motors, and small equipment.
• Repair and maintain health club equipment.
• Repair and maintain food service equipment.
• Perform plumbing repair and maintenance.
• Maintain and repair indoor and outdoor swimming pool support equipment, including water testing.
• Contact, schedule, and oversee outside contractors for repairs as needed.
• Document maintenance activities, materials used and update necessary logs.
• Other assigned duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager and/or Director of The Christian Family Centre and Facilities

QUALIFICATIONS.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 3-years of general/facilities maintenance experience.
  • Experience with in a recreational sport/fitness center and/or school preferred.
  • Experience with swimming pool maintenance and repair a strong plus.
• Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general carpentry.
  • Trade certifications highly preferred.
• Proficiency with mechanical systems and maintenance software.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Able to read and understand technical manuals.
• Able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with commonly used power tools.
• Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Stamina for physically demanding tasks with the ability to carry or lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to spend long hours standing and work in varied conditions.
