Position: Centre Café Associate
Classification: Part-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
Reports to: Centre Café Supervisor

Lenawee Christian Ministries provides Christ-centered education, spiritual development, and wellness services to the Lenawee County community. The ministry is made up of two operating entities:
Lenawee Christian School and the Christian Family Centre, located in Adrian, MI.

• Lenawee Christian School exists in partnership with the family and church to integrate Biblical truth for life with a commitment to glorifying Jesus Christ through academic excellence and spiritual maturity.
• The Christian Family Centre is a world-class fitness and family activity facility that supports individuals and families in their physical, social, and spiritual wellness, with Christ at the center of all we do.

The Centre Café is a public-facing café and a central gathering space within the Christian Family Centre. Café Team Members provide food service and hospitality to guests of all ages while delivering excellent customer service in a Christ-honoring manner.

This role requires attentiveness to customer needs, accuracy in food preparation and transactions, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, welcoming, and efficient café environment. Café Team Members play an important role in creating a positive experience that reflects the mission and values of Lenawee Christian Ministries.

• Prepare and fulfill all food and beverage orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Restock café supplies and properly store inventory.
• Fill and maintain the ice bucket as needed.
• Wash and sanitize café dishes using the dish machine.
• Complete assigned opening and closing procedures.
• Clean and maintain café tables, counters, equipment, floors, and work areas.
• Provide consistent, friendly, and efficient customer service.
• Interact appropriately and respectfully with guests of all ages.
• Display a Christ-honoring attitude in all interactions.
• Maintain a current Food Handler’s Card and comply with all Health Department guidelines.

• Profess and demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
• Support and adhere to the mission, values, and doctrinal beliefs of Lenawee Christian Ministries.
• Model a Christ-centered life marked by integrity, humility, and excellence.

• Previous server experience preferred.
• Current Food Handler’s Card preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; enjoys serving others.
• Hospitable, relational, and team-oriented.
• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Able to handle conflict in a respectful and God-honoring manner.
• Flexible availability, including the ability to work varying shifts.
• High-energy, organized, and efficient with a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a current Food Handler’s Card.
