Job Description

This clerk position starts at $17.00 per hour, however is negotiable with the amount of license office experience the applicant has. Experience is NOT necessary. Employees must learn and abide by procedures set forth by the license office contract and any applicable governing agencies. Access to benefits after 30 days of employment.

Job Duties

Include, but are not limited to:

  • The employee will engage with customer and answer routine questions.
  • The employee will type transactions without errors and proofread their completed work before transmitting the transaction.
  • The employee will answer the telephone, answer routine questions, or refer customers to the appropriate office to obtain necessary documentation needed for transaction.
  • The employee will operate standard office equipment.
  • The employee will process transactions offered by the license office.
  • Please know that we are not a testing location or tax office.
  • The employee must be trainable.
  • The employee must adhere to a code of conduct and employee manual.
Skills
  • The employee must have an introductory knowledge of business English and Math.
  • The employee must have an introductory knowledge of computer information systems and software.
  • The employee must have the ability to understand and follow instructions and ask if there is any uncertainity.
  • The employee must have the ability to type accureatly.
  • The employee must have the ability to proofread material.
  • The employee must be able to handle cash, check, and credit card transactions accurately.
  • The employee must have the ability to learn, perform, and accurately complete assigned tasks within established time frames.
  • The employee must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and public.
  • The employee must be punctual. Early is on time. On-time is late.
Minimum Qualifications
  • The employee must possess a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
  • Clerical experience preferred.
  • The employee must have the ability to pass a background check.
  • The employee must be able to pass a drug screening.
  • The employee must have the ability to pass a Missouri Criminal History System digital fingerprinting check for specific roles.
  • The employee must be a Missouri resident and current on all Missouri taxes.
