Job Summary
Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders. Consult physicians on the effectiveness of therapy. Act as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care. Perform duties as assigned.
Position Details- Location:
Mercy Hospital St. Louis and surrounding communities (Washington, Lincoln, Jefferson, Perry, Southeast). - Hourly rate: $35/hr for RRT, $30/hr for CRT plus variable shift incentive.
- Shift options: 4, 8, or 12 hour shifts; day/night flexibility.
- No weekend, holiday, or shift requirement.
- Variable shift incentives available.
Perform direct patient care, consult physicians on therapy effectiveness, act as a resource for respiratory care, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Education: Graduate of a CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program.
- Licensure: Meet state licensure requirements and hold a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
- Certifications: Hold an RRT or CRT credential awarded by the NBRC. PALS is required for ER work. ACLS required.
- Experience: Minimum one year of experience, not including orientation.
- Preferred Experience: Critical care experience.
- Physical Demands: Push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs; pinch up to 10 lbs; kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.
- Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
