The Estimator is responsible for coordinating reviews of plans, equipment/supplies/services, and scope of work to provide accurate estimates of project costs to customers. The position requires communications with internal team members, Manufacturers and their reps, clients, consultants, architects, and engineers regarding food service facility design projects. The Estimator must be self-motivated with high energy, and the ability to interact with numerous individuals, in multiple functions, within a dynamic and changing environment.

• Develop budgets to include specifications, scope of work and proposal requirements for project
• Register projects with Singer and communicate internally with enterprise estimating department(s)
• Identify qualified subcontractors and vendors and obtain quotes required to complete the cost estimate
• Analyze vendor promotions and recommend adjustments in strategy where possible to ensure maximum profitability and effectiveness; register for vendor specification credits
• Prepare multiple bid proposals simultaneously, reviewing design documents for accuracy and proposal compliance
• Review bid documents for consistency between documents, preparing an accurate scope of work for the bid, requesting clarification on bid requirements.
• Review and scrub food service equipment plans, equipment cut sheets, custom fabrication drawings, mechanical and architectural plans for accuracy of information pertaining to items designed, sold or installed by Singer; distribute clarifications and corrections as necessary according to project protocol
• Review bids and quotes with Project Managers at hand-off to ensure a clear understanding of project requirements and nuances learned during bid process
• Communicate both internally and externally in areas such as estimating, procurement, project coordination, sales, customer, logistics, opening dates, timelines, etc.
