SummaryPyramid Healthcare is seeking a Dining Services Manager to lead the food service operations at our substance use disorder treatment program serving the Springfield/Agawam, Massachusetts area. This role is integral in creating a supportive, healing environment for individuals on the path to recovery by managing high-quality dining services that align with our client-centered approach to behavioral healthcare.
Salary$60,000–$65,000 per year
Responsibilities- Oversee all food service operations in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage food preparation and meal service based on standardized menus and dietary requirements.
- Supervise and support dining services staff while promoting Pyramid Healthcare’s mission and values.
- Ensure the kitchen and dining areas meet all safety and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with the facility dietitian to meet client dietary needs, including modified diets.
- Monitor departmental budgets, purchasing, inventory, and labor costs.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and implement operational efficiencies.
- Complete monthly departmental reports and attend required meetings and trainings.
- Conduct regular employee check-ins, training, and performance evaluations.
- Participate in hiring and onboarding new dining services staff.
- Associate’s degree or higher in food service management, culinary arts, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in food service operations, preferably in healthcare, education, or hospitality settings.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a food service environment.
- Serv Safe certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
