Senior Clinician (LADC I) – Substance Use Disorder Program

Location: Agawam, MA

Salary: Up to $80,000 annually

Schedule: Full-Time

Anticipated Start: Early October 2026

Position Summary

Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a Senior Clinician (LADC I) / Clinical Supervisor to provide clinical leadership within our Substance Use Disorder Program in Agawam, MA
. This role oversees and coordinates clinical services in accordance with program standards, clinical best practices, and organizational philosophy. The Senior Clinician provides leadership, supervision, and guidance to clinical staff while ensuring high-quality client care, regulatory compliance, and a safe, supportive therapeutic environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced behavioral health professional looking to combine clinical practice, staff development, and program leadership in a mission-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess clients to determine appropriate levels of care and provide diagnostic input as appropriate
  • Support counselors in developing individualized treatment plans
  • Facilitate treatment team meetings and participate in clinical case consultations
  • Provide individual and group supervision to counselors and assigned clinical staff
  • Maintain a clinical caseload as needed
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to staff regarding client care and treatment planning
  • Collaborate with facility leadership to develop, improve, and expand clinical programming
  • Ensure daily clinical programming is implemented as scheduled
  • Monitor clinical documentation and assist with maintaining accurate and compliant client records
  • Provide crisis intervention and promote a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment
  • Address client concerns related to treatment, recovery, and overall care
  • Support compliance with applicable state regulations, licensing requirements, and organizational standards
  • Complete all required trainings in accordance with company and licensing requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and support to clinical department staff
  • Assist with training and onboarding of clinical team members
  • Provide ongoing feedback and guidance to support staff development and clinical effectiveness
  • Promote a collaborative, professional, and client-centered clinical environment
Qualifications Education & Licensure
  • Master's degree in a related behavioral health field, such as:
    • Clinical Psychology
    • Counseling
    • Social Work
    • Psychiatric Nursing
    • Mental Health
    • Rehabilitation Counseling
    • Or a related discipline
  • LADC I or another independent Master's-level clinical license valid in Massachusetts
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervised substance use disorder counseling experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of full-time clinical supervisory experience
Preferred Skills
  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment-planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and organizational abilities
  • Experience working with individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders
  • Ability to effectively support, coach, and develop clinical staff
  • Knowledge of Massachusetts behavioral health regulations and clinical documentation standards
