Job SummaryUnder direction of the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Warehouse Manager, you will follow all established procedures and policies for the selection, preparation, and shipping of finished products while prioritizing safety, quality, and efficiency to meet the goals of the company.
ScheduleThis position starts anytime between noon and 4pm. Weekends included.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Load and unload trucks/trailers using a manual “two-wheeler” and a variety of motorized equipment such as pushers, squeeze trucks, fork trucks and pallet jacks. Physical labor may involve pushing/pulling of stacked milk cases up to 6 high (up to 220 lbs), pushing/pulling of milk cases on metal-framed, rolling delivery dollies (up to 700 lbs) and using powered equipment.
- Accurately identify, select/pick inventory for loading, and stage based on customer load sheets. This may involve “picking” corrugated and uncorrugated products (up to 50 lbs) from storage shelves, and moving cases of products up to 6 cases high (up to 220 lbs). Loading racks up to 5 ½ ft high and moving the rack throughout the warehouse; final loaded weight could be up to 1000 lbs.
- Pull empty and full milk cases stacked up to 6 high (up to 220 lbs) while performing “pulling stock” functions in the dolly area or storage chest.
- Manually remove products from the floor conveyor system then package and/or stage them efficiently to maintain production flow requirements.
- Safely operate various types of powered industrial trucks (PITs) to load and unload pallets of product from a trailer and/or transport throughout the warehouse. Types of PITs include forklifts, squeeze trucks, pallet jacks, and HI/LO forklift units.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Some experience or training as a forklift operator.
- Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is desirable.
- Excellent driving skills, hand/foot-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Good record keeping / clerical skills.
- Good far-visual differentiation and depth perception.
- Good basic math and reading skills.
- Good oral communication and human relations skills.
- Warm and humid environment in the case room during summer months.
- Cold environment in the case room during winter months.
- Constant refrigerated environment (35 to 38 °F) in the dolly room, storage chest, and high bay cooler areas.
- Factory and/or warehousing type work environment.
- Varying levels of occupational noise.
- Fast‑paced work.
- Powered industrial truck traffic in the case room, dolly room, and high bay storage cooler.
- Heavy lifting (over 50 lbs individually) – very infrequently.
- Moderate lifting (25 to 50 lbs individually) – frequently.
- Light lifting (under 25 lbs individually) – very frequently.
- Standing – ability to stand for entire shift (8 h) with exceptions for breaks.
- Walking – ability to walk for entire shift with exceptions for breaks.
- Climbing – ability to climb into and out of a forklift periodically (≤ 6 times/ hr).
- Bending or stooping – frequent.
- Pushing – ability to push rolling product carts with loads up to 1000 lbs.
- Ability to push rolling dollies of products weighing up to 700 lbs.
