Forklift Operator, Material Handler, Warehouse Associate
Location:
320 Bowles Rd, PO Box 310, Agawam, MA 01001, USA.
The Material Handler ensures materials are safely and properly retrieved, staged, prepared, and ready for distribution by performing the following tasks:
- Material Preparation & Staging
:
Deburring, packing, export preparation, receiving, and shipping. - Order Fulfillment
:
Pulls material from inventory storage to fill sales orders accurately. - Verification & Documentation
:
Verifies materials, quality, quantity, packs for shipment, and records necessary information on sales orders. - Equipment Operation
:
Safely operates powered industrial equipment (i.e. combilift, side loader, order picker, forklift and overhead cranes) to move and stage materials. - Housekeeping
:
Maintains a clean and organized work area to support efficient operations.
- Experience: 1–3 months of related experience or training preferred.

Skills:
Ability to learn and be certified to safely operate powered industrial equipment. - Measurement
Skills:
Proficient in reading tape measures, micrometers, and other measuring devices. - Math
Skills:
Ability to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. - Technical
Skills:
Willingness to learn and navigate an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. - Problem‑Solving: Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions and apply logical problem‑solving skills.
- Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, and kneel as required throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs; occasionally lift and move up to 100 lbs with assistance following all appropriate safety guidelines.
- Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception, with or without corrective lenses.
- Work in a warehouse setting with moving equipment, varying temperatures, dust, and noise.
PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel‑toe shoes are required on a continuous basis, or as defined by the role needs or safety guidelines.
