Quality Technician II – 1st Shift (Agawam, MA)
Pay Range: $25.00 – $29.00 per hour
Salary: $52,000 - $60,000 per year
Shift: 4 PM - 12 AM (Second)

- Perform dimensional verification for PPAP and First Article parts and ensure shipping documentation meets customer requirements.
- Program and operate FARO and Micro‑Vu measurement equipment.
- Assist the production floor with documentation interpretation and train on proper measurement techniques.
- Conduct internal process audits and collect and present quality metrics.
- Develop and calibrate procedures for equipment per ISO standards.
- Work to establish closed‑loop corrective actions for customer complaints and internal process failures.
- Prioritize QA lab tasks and provide on‑the‑job training for new inspectors.
- Attend department meetings as required.
- Provide technical inspection of manufactured and raw materials at receiving as outlined by the process.
- Audit internal processes including dimensional workmanship and documentation verification.
- Work quickly, efficiently, and without quality issues.
- Experience:
3+ years in a metal fabrication environment under a continuous improvement QMS. - Technical Knowledge:
Understanding of GD&T concepts; FARO/Micro‑Vu programming desired. - Education:
Associate degree in a related field preferred; high‑school required. Quality Technician Certification is a plus. - Skills:
Proficient in shop math (fractions, decimals, ratios), blueprint reading, and inspection. - Physical:
Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and maintain high‑focus vision for detailed inspections.
