Role DescriptionThis is a full‑time, on‑site Concrete Laborer/Finisher role based in Agawam, MA. The Concrete Laborer/Finisher will assist with preparing job sites, setting up and dismantling formwork, and handling tools and materials. Daily tasks include placing, spreading, screeding, and finishing concrete surfaces, performing flatwork such as slabs and walkways, and ensuring proper curing and cleanup of work areas. The role may involve assisting with ready mix concrete placement, light carpentry related to concrete structures, and supporting heavy equipment operators as needed.
The position requires consistent adherence to safety procedures, teamwork with crew members, and the ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.
- Experience with formwork and basic carpentry related to concrete structures.
- Knowledge of flatwork techniques, including slabs, sidewalks, and other finished surfaces.
- Familiarity with ready mix concrete handling, placement, and finishing practices.
- Ability to work around heavy equipment safely and support operators as needed.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and commitment to jobsite safety.
- Capacity to lift heavy materials, stand, bend, and work outdoors for extended periods.
- Prior concrete or general construction experience preferred but not required.
- Reliable transportation to Agawam, MA, and willingness to work flexible hours as project needs require.
