Registration Auditor I (Onsite)

This individual should have knowledge of the registration and transfer process, policies and procedures as set forth by the DMV as well as internal policies.
Key Responsibilities- Meticulously review all documents electronically filed by the second line business partner.
- Maintain an error rate no greater than 3% in accordance with program requirements.
- Under the direction of the Audit Manager, certify that all appropriate paperwork is in hand and all information submitted is accurate, complete and matches corresponding paperwork in accordance with DMV policy, or mark the transaction for further review by BPA.
- Audit paperwork against DMV policies, provide notice to clients and to DMV as set forth by company procedures.
- Audit or review an average of at least 600 deals per day.
- Flag errors that can be fixed, contact clients for additional information and/or documents.
- Arrange paperwork in proper document order according to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Identify errors and prohibited transactions with an auditor’s eye and instinct.
- Determine if a transaction is worthy of an error notice.
- Print clear and concise error notices for clients.
- Arrange the bundle in proper bundle order and manage each bundle after the audit is complete.
- Access customer data for the purpose of reprinting required paperwork.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience as a DMV clerk at a dealership, credit union, or a previous DMV employee or registration service.
- Automotive industry knowledge is a plus.
- Creative and able to offer suggestions to achieve desired results.
- Quick learner of new technologies.
- Team player, self‑motivated, career oriented, with a desire to contribute to the growth of the company.
- Awareness of business‑related trends in the industry.
- Proven ability to organize and manage multiple priorities with flexibility to adapt to ever‑changing business needs.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
The hourly rate range for this position is: $18.75 - $20.67
The final pay will be determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, location, education, experience, training and skills.
